I was driving to lunch the other day and saw this beautiful piece of German machinery pass by. You’re seeing it right. Porsche has brought back their Speedster for 2012.

Not only have they brought back the Speedster but Porsche also decided to offer their new car in the same colors as the DinnerMeeting’s logo. Is this a sign of sorts? Maybe. Click through for more details.

for 2012 Porsche is offering their 911 Speedster in Pure Blue and Carerra White.

The new Porsche Speedster will be available in limited production; 356 to be exact. The 356 to commemorate their 356 class from the 50′s and 60′s. This new Speedster will be badged with 25 years of Porsche Exclusive Guiding Customers. Since 1986 Porsche has allowed customers to customize their Porsches and the new Speedster offers several customizable options to commemorate this feature to customers.

The motor is a 3.8L 6cyl DOHC 24 Valve packing 408 horsepower and 420 ft/lbs of torque. The motor lays down its power through a 7 speed automatic gearbox. If you have the cash and can find one available, you can have your own speedster for $205k.

If you’re putting together a meeting, party or any other kind of event DinnerMeetings can help. The Event Board located here exists so you can find venues and audio visual rentals a year in advance or the day of.

Here’s how the Event Board can save you time and your event:

Lets say your having a 7pm meeting in New York. You rented a 3D projector and tri fold screen from an audio visual company in Georgia and just received it the day of your event. Your running through your presentation and the projector overheats and the bulb burns out. Now what?

You can call the company you rented the projector from and they can try to find you a replacement, you could call all over the city looking for a replacement, or you could post what you’re looking for to the DinnerMeeting’s Event Board and have a response within minutes from a local provider who can deliver you a projector for your meeting.

For individuals, the Event Board provides a way for venue and audio visual rental companies to contact you directly.

For audio visual rental companies and venues, the Event Board can be used as an area to reach out to potential customers as well as creating a communication resource for venues looking to rent audio visual equipment at their restaurant, hotel, resort etc.

The Event Board is just one feature of DinnerMeetings that makes planning your next event as simple as possible.

Have a great weekend!

If you have some extra cash laying around, open up an ETRADE account and start investing! Don’t ever let money sit. Ever. Unless its earning interest. Creating an ETRADE account is easy to do.

Here’s how:

Got to ETRADE.com and set up your account.

What you’ll need:
1.) U.S. residential address
2.) Date of birth
3.) SSN or Tax ID number
4.) Employer name and address

5.) Link one of your bank accounts to ETRADE. (You have to at least put in $500 to get going)

Once the money’s in your account you can start trading.

The stock market is open from 9:30am-4pm EST Monday-Friday.

Note: There’s also Pre-Market trading hours from 7am-9:30am EST and After Market trading hours from 4pm-8pm EST

Tips for new investors:
-Only invest as much as you’re willing to loose (Don’t throw all of your money in the market).
-Research companies past history, present, and future ideas.(Notice how decisions effected their stock price)
-Invest in companies that you like.
-Once you sell your stock, its takes 5 business days before you can re-invest that money into the market.

ETRADE’s a great service and it’s worth the $9.99/trade. Sign up and get your money moving

More on investing later. . .

If you’re traveling constantly you need to get a set of noise canceling headphones. I’ve had a set of Bose noise canceling headphones for a couple years now and they have been a life saver. Long flights with crying babies, snorers and the constant hum of turbo jet engines all disappear with the flick of a button.

There are a bunch of noise canceling headphones out there but these ones by Bose have been great. The technology is called QuietComfort and it works. If you or your kids are going off to college a set of these headphones will drown out the most annoying roommates or the loudest Wednesday night party going down next door the night before finals.

These Bose headphones are a little pricey (Starting at $299) but they will last you forever and come with a warranty.

1 AAA battery will give you 35 hours of headphone life.

These may not be the best option for your iPod mix at they gym or skiing down the mountain at 40+ mph, but if you’re sitting in an airplane or at your desk they will be perfect.

You can read more about Bose headphones at Bose’s website

I’ve seen a lot of these at the gym lately and hear nothing but good things. Anyone try Monster’s Beats headphones by Dr. Dre? They aren’t noise canceling, but the sound is supposed to be amazing.

Have a great 4th of July Weekend!

After reading “Creating a Website Part 1” you should have some sketches, or at least an idea of how you want your website to look.

Another great resource for drafting the initial layout for your website is using a site called Balsamiq.com. Balsamiq offers a free demo of their software where you can design out an entire website. You can purchase a full version of Balsamiq’s software software on their website for $79.

There are hundreds of companies online where you could go to build an entire website. There are some benefits and downfalls to these, but if you’re looking for a one-off solution to building your site keep reading.

If you want to get serious, and save yourself a grip of money, its time to go out and buy Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe products can be expensive. Every now and then you can find slaes on Adobe software. If you’re a student or teacher you can pick up Adobe with a huge percentage off. InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop will make designing your site a dream. There’s a learning curve, but there are tons of guides out there, and YouTube has thousands of videos on how to use Adobe products. I used CS5 to create the DinnerMeetings.com you see today.

Having a fast computer will also make your life a heck of a lot easier when running adobe products and applications. As a PC guy, I went out and bought a new iMac and haven’t looked back since. Buying Adobe Creative Suite and buying a new computer is expensive, yes, but the potential for a positive return on investment (big business term) is there. Take these steps, create a websites that generates revenue or start designing websites for others. Or forget the revenue and designing for others and have fun being creative for yourself.

You’ve just spent thousands on a new computer and the latest Adobe gear, designed your first website. Now what? Creating a Website Part III is just around the bend. . .

If you haven’t used Craigslist before, check them out immediately. I’ve been a craigslist fan since the late 90’s and have used their classifieds to furnish apartments, find concert tickets, sell tractors and purchase 10 of my last 12 vehicles. If you want to sell your items faster and get every penny you’re asking for, it literally pays to have great pictures on your posting.

Step 1: Create an account on Craigslist.org. They’re free!

Step 2: Find an item you want to sell. Lets say your selling your grandmothers 69’ Plymouth Roadrunner with a 4-speed pistol grip, 440 Six Pack, Dana 60 rear end and 20K original miles.

Step 3: Go to eBay and look at similar cars or items to what you’re selling. Look at items with the most bids and imitate how that seller posed their item(s) in their ad pictures.

Step 4: Take some amazing pictures. Use a digital camera and turn your resolution up and make the picture size as big as it will go. Find somewhere that would be a nice backdrop, if you cant move your item easily, at least clean up the area that’s going to show in your pictures (this can make or break your ad, even with a 69’ 440 roadrunner).

Step 4: Create an account on Photobucket.com

Step 5: Upload your pictures of grandma’s Roadrunner onto your new Photobucket.com account.

Step 6: Select 6-12 pictures you think are best (Remember use the high scoring eBay ad as an example on what pictures to use for your ad. See Step 3 above)

Step 7: Add a title, Write out your description. (this is an art in itself, but state the facts, use other ad’s similar to yours, stay positive in your writing and you’ll be fine!)

Step 8: Below your description, your going to paste the “HTML Code” found when you scroll over your Photobucket.com pictures. After each paste of HTML code into your Craigslist ad description, hit enter and paste another picture.

Step 9: Keep repeating these steps until all of your picture codes are in your description.

Step 10: Submit your ad. You’ll receive an email confirmation and your ad should be live with your description and your photo’s! Congrats and good luck with your sale!

Tips:

-Copy all of your item description and save it in a word file. (Use just incase, or if you need to run your ad again, you won’t have to go through all of the Photobucket copy and pasting of links)

-Lighting is a big factor, morning and evenings make for the best shots for vehicles outside.

-Clean up whatever it is your selling. Make things look stock or how they looked when they were brand new.

-Peel any and all personal stickers off your vehicle before taking pictures (leave all factory stickers!) think of every sticker you peel off as putting a $50 bill in your pocket

It’s your night for dinner at the firehouse, you’re putting together dinner for the game tonight or maybe you’re just craving a little pineapple and ham? Either way I’ve got a great Hawaiian pizza recipe for you. Here’s what you’ll need:

Go to Trader Joe’s

Grocery list:

1- Garlic herb pizza dough (by meat section)

1- Pack of uncured sliced ham (meat section)

1- Pack of mozzarella shredded cheese light or regular (cheese section)

1- Pizza tomato sauce (by cheese section)

1- Can of pineapple (canned food section)

1- Bag of flour (canned food section)

1- Bottle of olive oil (canned food section)

Optional:

1- Bottle of red wine, whiskey or 6 pack of beer (Alcohol section)

1- Salad, dressing, salad toppers i.e. croutons, avocado, cherry tomato’s (Produce section)

Go Home

- Lightly flour a wood or stone counter surface.

- Take dough out of the bag and place it on the flour surface.

- Let the dough sit for 20 minutes

- Preheat oven to 450 degrees

- Lightly dust cookie sheet or pizza stone with flour

- After 20 minutes take the dough and roll or form it into a 12”-14” circle

- Place the dough on the floured cookie sheet or pizza stone

- Use a spoon and spread the pizza tomato sauce on the dough

- Take the ham and place it on top of the sauce (Use around 10 pieces of ham)

- Spread a small amount of shredded mozzarella over the ham.

- Pour pineapple into a strainer (cut pineapple pieces smaller if needed)

- Spread pineapple over the mozzarella and ham (Use entire can if desired)

- Brush small amount of olive oil on the pizza crust

- Put the pizza in the oven

- Cook for 8-14 minutes (usually done in about 10 minutes)

- Prepare your salad while the pizzas in the oven (Pizza’s fine by itself too)

- Pull the pizza out of the oven (Caution: Extremely HOT)

- Let sit for a couple minutes or two (Crust should be golden brown)

- Cut your creation up using a knife or pizza cutter

- Ready to serve!

These pizzas are fun to make, they taste great and you’ll feel like you’ve accomplished something when it’s all said and done. Your guest(s) and stomach will thank you!

Gym time tomorrow. . .
